Diving & Snorkeling

Aqaba offers a wealth of high quality diving and snorkeling sites. We offer daily diving and snorkeling trips, our guests get to choose to dive from our boats or direct from the beach. All the sites we visit for scuba diving are also suitable for snorkellers.

Dive Aqaba has exclusive aceess to the old Royal Diving Centre dive sites, the Aquarium and the Coral Garden dive spots are available through the Dive Aqaba beach club exclusively, the club is great for families and people looking for relaxing day on the beach. The club offers shower facilities, restaurant, private beach, and swimming pools. The dive sites at our club are great for divers of all levels and a favourite for photographers.

We are continually exploring and finding new sites, particularly in the technical diving range (over 40m). There are also 6 wrecks to dive, the most well known being the Cedar Pride, for the more experienced diver the two deeper wrecks of the Shorouk (scuttled June 2008) and Taiyong. The now famous unusual wreck of the Tank (M42 AA Vehicle) in just 6m of water (great for a try dive!) and the usually missed Tarmac Five. Plus the latest wrecks scuttled for divers; a C130 Hercules aircraft in 18m of water, a Tristar passenger plane 10-25m depth and a military museum with tanks, guns other vehicles including a helicopter 17 peices to date in 18-28m of water.

We have over 30 sites along our coastline most of which are in the Aqaba Marine Park. There is a large variety of differing topography and differing habitats within a small area. This side of the Gulf we have lots of upwelling from the depths bringing nutrients to the reef and thus prolific marine life. The reefs are protected and unspoilt. Below you will find links for each site with photos all taken recently which are updated on a regular basis so you know what the sites are like now and what you are likely to see there. There are descriptions of 30 recreational and technical dive sites and links to pages with photos taken on the sites.
