I know in the book they say to only take it to a max depth of 30m
But is it possible to mod one for deeper as still have a good chance of living ? could you use a 2nd mix like air for the deeper part – remembering to go back onto the rich mix for shallows before you  pass out and drown

After completing the basic course on the unit divers who are training in gas switch deco diving can then expand their horizons on the until to depths as great as 60m. The Dangerous Bros Dive Club in Aqaba have tested the unit to this depth.

You need to put a lower oxygen mix in the feed tank such as 30% then feed this through the 32% nozzle this will give you an hour of bottom time more than enough for most dives.. you carry an air bailout on the left that could be used from maximum depth this also feeds the BC and say a EANx 50 deco mix on the right for acclerated deco.. you must change to this at 21m and continue the dive open circuit....failure do do so will result in something worse than death! Very Confused

Thinking about and being cheap could you use one for extra safety on deep air dives your pp02 would be a good 20% lower than on open circuit with only an additional 5% increase to END

The only problem with that is that the PPO2 can spike if the bypass valve fires! Very Confused
One can always put trimix in the unit to use less He at depth them OC the descent and ascent!! Flow rates can be dodgy though theres some stuff on rebreather world about it!

German divers love these thuings and do lots of mods etc.. they have been taken to 70m on occasion me Ill stick to 60 with the Dolphin until I mod it to a CCR for about 1100 dollars....mmm interesting concept!! Wink
