Eel Canyon is named after the garden eels that
protrude from the sand in the bottom of the canyons. (There are also some
nice morays here). You can use the table coral and oil drum as navigation
points so you know where you are in the area. There are many lion fish
under coral ledges and some nice black coral bushes. There is a nice swim
through at the bottom of one spur of coral - be careful with you fins
though! We are currently having talks with the port authority to try and have the wreck on the new hotel beach towed off and scuttled here at the bottom of the canyon!
