Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan visits Dive Aqaba

In 2007 Laila Manna, owner of Dive Aqaba - a small family diving business, won the Award for the Best Microfinance Project in Aqaba for 2007. This was granted by the Aqaba Development Corporation. Her Majesty Queen Rania was visiting several projects in Aqaba in April 2008 and made a special visit to Laila One dive boat to congratulate Laila and meet the team. Prior to the visit security teams prepared the area, papparazzi hovered and the boat was cleared by sniffer dogs! The K9 team here uses Golden Retrievers as pictured below. Once all was secured Queen Rania arrived and greeted Laila and boarded the boat to meet the team. The health of the coral reefs, diving education and diving tourism was discussed.
