Alaa Farrah 1983-2011

Alaa joined the team in September 2009 to help us out until March 2010, and gain experience in teaching. We used his fathers boat Sea Breeze as our second boat when numbers dictated. Alaa has been working in the dive industry for many years, in Jordan for the Royal Diving Club and more recently for Aqaba Adventure Divers. He gained his PADI Open Water Instructor in Hurghada, Egypt. He was latterly working with Barracuda diving centre. Sadly Alaa passed away after a diving accident on 28th September 2011. We would like to remember all the fun times and great dives we had with him and our thoughts are with his family and friends. The whole dive community in Aqaba mourn his loss. We would like to thank all the members of the diving community that helped in his rescue, first aid and transport to the recompression chamber.
