Semi Closed Rebreathers in Aqaba
Due to security reasons all rebreather diving & training in Jordan has been stopped from September 2014
We pioneered rebreather diving in Aqaba offering training for Semi closed rebreather divers resulting in a PADI certification. The unit this course was a Draeger Dolphin SCR which has proved adequate for exploring most of the diving in Aqaba. If you are a qualified techinical diver it can also be useful for deep air tec diving using the 32% nozzle with EANx 30. A Draeger O2 gauge was used to monitor ppO2, at the deepest bit of the Taiyong wreck this read a comfortable 1.44ata. Decompression was carried out on open circuit. We have now discontinued training on this unit as, due to security reasons, all rebreather diving & training in Jordan has been stopped from September 2014
