Tec 40 Go deeper!
The Tec 40 course the entry point into the technical range, it provides a transition from recreational to technical diving. With Dive Aqaba the use of full tech gear (doubles and wings) is preferred. But a diver can use their own recreational gear modified accordingly with two separate regulators, with one of the first stages fitted with a long hose.
Course duration 2-3 days.
- PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent
- PADI Enriched Air diver or equivalent.
- PADI Deep Diver or equivalent
- A minimum of 30 logged dives, with at least 10 dives made using enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres.
- 18 years old
You'll learn to:
- Conduct decompression dives using modified recreational or technical equipment.
- Practise the motor skills required for decompression diving
- Understand the hazards and risks involved with decompression diving
- Respond to reasonably foreseeable emergencies that may occur in decompression diving.
- Dive to 40 metres depth with up to 10 minutes of non-accelerated decompression while breathing up to EANx50.
