In the PADI Specialty of the month competition for December. Finnbar Cornwall won first prize for completing his Boat Diver specialty course with us. Ally's Shark Adventure

Tala Bay Team
Tala Bay Marina staff successfully completed their PADI Open Water Courses with with us this month. Absari Mahamod, Ali Hatamleh, Kalil Abu Jaber and Rami Odeh are all now qualified Open Water Divers thanks to the help of Ashraf, Ciaran, Chris and Alison from Dive Aqaba. more info...

Instructor Exams in Eilat for 2007
Our Course Director, Rod Abbotson, has made arrangements with PADI Europe to take potential new instructors to nearby Eilat for the PADI exam thus avoiding a long trip to Egypt. See schedule of IDCs on the home page, asterisked dates are scheduled with exams in Eilat. So now for the first time you can compete your instructor training in Aqaba with a guaranteed exam nearby. more info...

Aqaba Marathon

Modern Montessori School
Twenty nine students from the Modern Montessori School in Amman successfully completed their PADI Open Water Diver course with us along with other students joining in on the trip to Aqaba they all gained a new respect for the environment and underwater world with diving, snorkeling and Coral Reef Conservation programs.

Triple Master Scuba Diver
Lara Steward, who is deaf with a cochlea implant, along with her two sisters Chloe and Erin, achieved the highest PADI recreational qualification PADI Master Scuba Diver. Lara said "When you are underwater you can only communicate through sign, gesture or writing which was really easy for me. Some of the diving signs are even the same as British Sign Language". more info...

Underwater Clean Up Day
On Saturday 23rd September our staff and guests collected over 30 bags of rubbish from the dive site Eel Canyon. Extra rubbish collecting bags were provided by the Aqaba Marine Park staff, the trash was mostly plastic and the most unusual items found were playing cards! more info...

Everette W. Ingram Jr has now completed enough tec diving missions to qualify as a DSAT Tec Deep Instructor. This was done in between all his busy instructional activities in recreational diving. Everette will now bring a new wealth of instructional experience to the Dive Aqaba Tec Team and will be able to take less experienced tec divers under his wing (custom divers that is!) more info...
