Laila Manna

Laila is the owner of Dive Aqaba, is married to Rod, and is Ashraf's mother. She worked as a staff nurse in Irbid for the Ministry of Education, teaching at the nursing college. After moving to Amman and working at Amman Surgical Hospital, she was in charge of the emergency department in the then new Jordan Hospital. In 1996 she moved to Aqaba and worked for the European Union, and then for the local authority (ASEZA). She is now the brains behind Dive Aqaba, working behind the scenes with local government and steering the company towards new and exciting opportunities. Our custom-made dive boat is therefore justifiably named" Laila One". Laila won the Aqaba Development Corporation Award in 2007 for the best microfinanced project in Aqaba which led to a visit by her majesty Queen Rania to Laila One in April 2008.... more on Queen Rania's visit
