About this dive site
A mooring now opens this site to boat diving. It is known as the Aquarium because the dive guides used to take bread down on the north-east side of the central reef to feed the fish. That is no longer allowed under the Aqaba Marine Park rules, but the fish still gather in great numbers.
You see barracuda over the deeper reefs, lots of unicorn fish and fantastic displays of red soft corals that catch the current between the reefs. You can also reach the site from the shore through the old Royal Diving Club, using its facilities for 10 JD per person when accompanied by a Dive Aqaba staff member.
