Become a diving instructor
Make diving your work: travel the world, meet new people every day and turn a passion into a profession.
The path
Wherever there is water, diving instructors are wanted. Our professional programmes run all year and can be scheduled to suit you, often one to one, with our Course Director and staff instructors.
Divemaster
At least nine days, with water skills sessions, practical assessments, workshops, a search and recovery module and a deep dive module. You need to be 18, with 40 logged dives to start and 60 to finish, and be a Rescue Diver with CPR and first aid.
Instructor Development Course
The full IDC with peers, and we sign you up as an assistant instructor even if you take the instructor exam later. We prepare you to be a competent instructor, not only to pass the exam.
Specialty and Staff Instructor
Teach what interests you most. Specialty instructor training gives you hands-on practice with a Course Director, and staff instructor work builds your evaluation skills.
Internships and packages
Many candidates combine training with work experience in our internship programme. We offer packages for diving professionals and dive centres worldwide, with accommodation and travel arrangements. Ask us what is available now.
