About this dive site

The Cedar Pride was deliberately sunk for divers on 16 November 1985 and became the most famous dive site in Jordan. After more than 30 years she carries a thick covering of coral and is considered one of the most photogenic wrecks of the Red Sea.

She rests between Rainbow Reef and the Japanese Gardens, on her port side with the bow facing north, about 130 m from the shore. A permanent mooring buoy at her stern is maintained by the Aqaba Marine Park. The maximum depth is about 25 m and the top of the mast reaches up to 7 m, so she makes a great dive for all experience levels. Penetration is possible for divers with the right training, and the wreck is ideal for Wreck Specialty courses.

Best for: All experience levels; ideal for wreck courses

Type: Wreck or artificial reef
