About this dive site

The site got its name because many recreational divers have got into trouble here in the strong down-current. At the bottom of the valley the depth reaches 100 m and more.

Fan corals are prolific from 40 m down, where they catch the nutrients brought up by upwelling water, and giant whip corals rise from the reef at 55 m and deeper. To the south, after crossing another gulley, you reach Walter’s Wall, which heads out south-west covered in huge fan corals. Be careful how far you go, as you could end up with a long swim in blue water completing your decompression. Recommended bottom gas: Tmx16/24.

Best for: Technical divers with trimix training

Type: Technical

Recommended bottom gas: Tmx16/24
