About this dive site

Seventeen pieces of military equipment, from guns to helicopters, have been placed on the seabed between the eel grass slope, a great place to look for seahorses, and the start of the coral reef. The depth ranges from about 15 m in the north to 28 m in the south, where the helicopters are.

The best way to dive it is from north to south. After the helicopters, swim slowly up to 5 m and make a long safety stop in the shallows, where there is a lot to see, including turtles, while heading south to the pick-up point at King Abdullah Reef. The site is sheltered from the wind. By boat we dive it as a drift dive, and currents can be strong at times. Marine life will settle on the vehicles over time, so it is worth revisiting, and it is a good place to complete our Research Diver specialty.

Best for: Divers with Advanced Open Water or equivalent; good for the Research Diver specialty

Type: Wreck or artificial reef
